ART in Flexible: Steps 1 and 2

The ART in Flexible programme is divided into two steps.

Step 1, the introduction to ESTs1, took place between 2 – 4 July 2025 in Berlin, Germany. Registration for this course is available to 48 third year residents.

Step 2, the introduction to ESTs2, will take place between 3 – 4 December 2025 in Berlin, Germany. 16 residents from Step 1 will be invited to the follow-up course based on their performance in Step 1.

 

Selection Criteria

Step 1

48 residents will be selected for Step 1, divided into two groups of 24. Each group of 24 participants will follow a 1.5 day programme. Once you have been selected, you will be informed to which group you have been allocated.

Application deadline: Monday, 14 April 2025

Once the applications have closed, a selection will be made based on a first come, first serve basis, taking into account the following criteria:

  1. You must be a THIRD year resident
  2. You must submit a proof of status, which confirms you are a third year resident
  3. You must be available for the entire programme

Fees & inclusions

In order to participate in the course, a registration fee applies:

  • EAU Members – 100 euros
  • Non-members – 194 euro
  • Financial support is available for lower income countries:

The EAU can offer you financial support with your registration fees for this event, based on the World Bank Classification of the country you work in. If your country is classified as a B-country (Upper-Middle Income Economy), you will receive 20% support. If your country is classified as a C-country (Lower-Middle Income Economy) you will receive 40% support. If your country is classified as a D-country (Low Income Economy) you will receive 60% support. You need to be an EAU member (with an up-to-date membership) and your registration cannot otherwise be sponsored by a pharmaceutical company. Step 2

16 residents will be selected for Step 2, based on their performance in Step 1.

Confirmation participation

After the application has closed, you will receive a definite confirmation by email if you have or have not been selected to participate in the meeting.

Cancellation

Cancellations should be sent in writing to ESU Office.

Attendance is compulsory for the full duration of the meeting. Please keep in mind that cancellations should be notified to the ESU Office by e-mail. If you do not attend the meeting or do not complete the full course, we will ask you to pay a fee of €375.
