How to Apply

ART in Flexible

The ART in Flexible programme is divided into three steps.

Step 1 (ESTs1) will take place between 23 – 25 June 2026 in Berlin, Germany. Registration for this course is available to 48 third-year residents.

Step 2 (ESTs2) will take place between 1 – 2 December 2026 in Berlin, Germany. 16 residents from Step 1 will be invited to the follow-up course.

Step 3 (ESTs3) will take place between 16 – 17 April 2026 in Valencia, Spain. 12 residents from Step 2 will be invited to the follow-up course.

Selection Criteria Step 1

For Step 1, 48 residents will be selected and divided into two groups. Each group of 24 participants will follow a 1.5-day programme. Once selected, participants are informed as to which group they have been allocated.

Application deadline: Monday, 13 April 2026

Once the applications have closed, a selection will be made on a first-come, first-served basis, taking into account the following criteria:

1. You must be a third-year resident.
2. You must submit proof of status, which confirms you are a third-year resident.
3. You must be available for the entire programme.

Fees & inclusions

To participate in Step 1, the following registration fees apply:

• EAU Members – €100
• Non-members – €194
• Financial support is available for lower-income countries:

The EAU can offer you financial support with your registration fees for this event, based on the World Bank Classification of the country you work in. If your country is classified as a B-country (Upper-Middle Income Economy), you will receive 20% support. If your country is classified as a C-country (Lower-Middle Income Economy) you will receive 40% support. If your country is classified as a D-country (Low-Income Economy) you will receive 60% support. You need to be an EAU member (with an up-to-date membership) and your registration cannot otherwise be sponsored by a pharmaceutical company. To apply for financial support on your registration, please contact the European School of Urology (ESU).

What’s included in Step 1:

• 1-night hotel accommodation at a hotel near the venue
• Coffee breaks and lunches

Selection Criteria Step 2

For Step 2, 16 residents will be selected from those who participated in AIF Step 1. The selection takes into account the following criteria:

1. Overall performance during Step 1
2. PI Scores
3. ESTs1 Exam results
4. Availability to attend the entire programme

Fees & inclusions

There are no additional registration fees for participation in Step 2.

Selection Criteria Step 3

Based on their performance in Step 2, 12 residents will be selected for Step 3.

To participate in the course, the following registration fees apply for Step 3:

• Non-members – €294
